Carpets and Area Rugs
08/29/2013 Back To BlogThe décor of a home can be highly enhanced with the right type of carpet and area rug. The color, design, thickness, and quality are all factors that need to be considered when planning to install. Area rugs complement flooring that is made of such material as laminate, wood, tile, and even stone. They are also great for establishing a little bit of contrast of color, texture, and style in the living areas of the home.
Oriental Rugs
Orientalrugs are known for their quality such as thickness. These wool rugs are usually composed of intricately dyed designs. Persian rugs are the most popular of this type of style. They offer a warm feeling with a touch of eastern flavor. If you are looking for something not quite as flashy, there are also more traditional rugs and carpets on the market to choose from. They have everything from country western patterns to more abstract designs.
Sisal Rugs
These rugs are quite unique because they consist of all natural fibers that derive directly from the sisal plant. Its material is more durable than such materials as hemp, jute, and flax. Sisal rugs are woven style rugs that are typically greenish hue, natural, or light brown in color. These types of rugs can be easily dyed or bleached.
Bamboo Rugs
Bamboo rugs are available in a variety of styles such as woven fiber or matchstick designs. There are also a number of colors, border materials, and paint-on designing. The manufacturing material for this type is green just like bamboo which is grown and harvested every couple of years without even harming the plant.
Cleaning
These area rugs can be cleaned and maintained just as any other tradition carpet in your home would. Just as similar, they also get filled with dirt, grime, stains, and dust. The same carpet cleaning methods that you use for your wall to wall carpet can also be applied to whatever type of area rug you may have.
